Having live background music played through the meal is a nice touch. We had a pianist for our wedding and often you will come across string quarters or harpists too.

However, not everyone has the budget for this. A simple solution could be to play Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi through the venues sound system. I recently came across this amazing composer, many of you may know him already, I am a little behind on my music. His music is light enough to be able to speak over but really atmospheric too.

Personally, you cannot beat the real thing, but per your venue is outdoors or not formal, this might just be the answer for less than €10 you can have a lovely effect. The album I have is called Echoes -The Einaudi Collection.
